What is a headache?
As the name suggests, pain in the head is known as a headache. Almost all people experience headaches at some point in their life. It may occur regardless of age and/or gender.
Causes:
Headache is not an independent disease but your body's response to underlying health conditions. Headache can be caused by numerous factors.
- Dehydration
- Blood hemorrhage
- Poisoning
- Teeth-grinding at night
- Alcohol hangover
- Stress
- Side effects of medications
Home Remedies:
- Apply Aloe Vera (Ghew Kumari) on the forehead
- Heat Crown Plant Leaves (Aak or Madar) directly in the fire. Cover up the head with these leaves. Keeping this for 10-15 minutes helps.
- Sniff the mixture of Turpentine (Tarpin) Oil and Camphor (Kapur) Power.
- Grind the Cardamom (Sukmel) seeds into powder form and sniff.
- Prepare the Crown Plant (Aak or Madar) Leaves’ syrup/juice. Insert 2-2 drops in each nostril.
- Extract juice from Holy Basil (Tulasi) Leaves. Insert 1-2 drops in each nostril.
- Cuscuta, Water, Goat Milk
- Grind 5 grams of Cuscuta (Aakash Beli)
- Mix it with Goat Milk
- If Goat Milk is not available, water as your alternative
- Consume every day on an empty stomach for a week
- If the headache is due to excess exposure to the sun, prepare a paste of Henna (Mehendi) Plant Flowers and apply it to the forehead.
- If cold is the culprit, apply a paste of Cinnamon (Daal Chini) on the forehead.
- If the headache comes with Constipation (Kabjiyat), use Gooseberry (Amla, Amala). Prepare a power of Gooseberry Fruit excluding the seeds. Consume every night, before bed, with warm water.
